– Eye Examinations –
There are eye exams and there are our eye exams.
Do you want to feel like you are listened to?
That the suggestions made are unique to you and solve all of your vision frustrations?
Then you should see us.
When you first arrive, leave the stress of your day behind as we usher you through to the calm of our waiting area, where we take your details and ascertain the reasons for your visit. After a few questions, experience our pre-testing technology, where a quick photo of your eye leads to a 3D retinal scan where we can not only analyse the layers of the retina, we can detect your future risk of ocular disease.
After your scan, our optometrist will begin your eye examination. We pride ourselves on really listening, not only to your frustrations but also to what are the most important things in your life that you need to see. So that we can investigate this fully and get to know you more, we have longer testing times compared to other optometrists. After all, you are part of our Eyeconic family and we want to get to know you more!
After we perform tests for vision, measuring distance and near acuity, focussing ability and how well the ocular muscles co-ordinate together, we will then talk about all of your vision correction options. Do you want the ease and statement potential of some fabulous glasses? Or the freedom of contact lenses? Perhaps a combination of them both? And what type of glasses lenses best suit your prescription? What type of contact lenses suit your prescription or ocular shape? These are all the questions we answer together, where your ideas and preferences are integral in finding the perfect vision correction for you.
During the eye examination, we also thoroughly test your eyes for the following ocular conditions:
- Cataracts
- Glaucoma
- Macular Degeneration
- Dry Eye
- Pterygiums
And many more ocular issues.
If we notice any issue, or the future risk of an ocular condition, we thoroughly image the condition with the aids of corneal topography and anterior eye photography in addition to OCT retinal scanning and photography.
Most importantly, we want you to understand the condition, explaining these scans or photos in depth to you with the addition of models and diagrams. A picture speaks a thousand words and seeing images of your eyes magnified up to 50 times can help communicate an unparalleled depth of understanding of any ocular condition.
At Eyeconic Optometry, we want you to leave your eye examination with the knowledge that you had the most thorough eye examination, been offered the very best vision solutions and felt a little indulged by our service and products too.
